Week 1 Vibes music competition - getting sassy with some jazz

Introduction

So we were very excited about @lordbutterfly announcing that he was going to be doing a weekly music competition on hive. I mean we love music and we love Hive so it is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of Hive in the music community. We have been trying to support the music on hiver with our curator @stickupcurator which supports music and the arts across hive and are happy to support Vibes!

Anyways I was telling two of the youngest members of the Stick Up Boys and they wanted to enter the competition. They are only 13 years old but love music and hopefully will become the next generation of Hive users. @ministickupboy has dabbled a bit on hive and knows a lot about it from us. Anyways I told them about it and they wanted to enter, they definitely want to win as they have a plan to start busking this year and need some new equipment to support them!

The song

Now I do not know if you know but apparently Jazz is back with the youth and these two love Jazz and learn all sorts of jazz classics from the Reel Book. This is alike a music book of jazz standards and they go through it learning different songs so they wanted to present a classic song so they chose "Girl from Impanema" which is definitely a classic song and falls under the Bossa style!

Now we are just playing it on guitar, piano and drums and are playing it in the key of F which if you know your music history is controversial....especially in the history of this song. But hey we like it in F so it works for us even though we are not American. To be honest being a producer the boys are really pushing me on guitar to learn these big chords with my old fingers!

We are hosting it on @3speak as well of course as we love what they do!
