Introduction
@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it. So here we are again for another TTT week and it is great to see this initiative carry on on Hive and all the engagement it gets!
Our picks
This week we are all about Santigold who we have been listening to for a while now and she has been on the scene for almost 20 years now. The American born singer songwriter seems to almost have her own genre in some ways and changes her style throughout her career. However her excellent song crafting and vocals stay the same no matter what she is doing.
Song 1
This is one of the first songs by Santigold and when I heard this album it was literally on repeat for weeks on my playlist. This was way back in 2008 and it brings back some memories for me listening to it again after a long break! What a pleasure.
Song 2
The second song we pick this week is from the same album. It is pure pop at its very best which is guitar driven and is a real ear worm and great for listening to and getting sheet done!
Song 3
Now fast forward to the present day and lets have a listen to her most recent work. It has the same hypnotic nature to her earlier work but has a very different musical feel. I find her new work just as compelling as her earlier work and I urge you to delve deep into her musical journey as there are definitely some little gems in there.
