Three tune Tuesday and Sit down and listen to james....

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about James a classic Indie band from the UK from mainly the late 80's and 90's. Now they heralded from Manchester which was a centre for the UK indie scene during that time and James were definitely a big part of that!

Song 1

Ok this is a classic anthem and really encapsulates what they are all about. Chilled but fluid, warm and meaningful and ever so catchy. This was definitely a song of its time and when they played it live the whole audience would sit down on sticky club floors!

Song 2

This is probably one of my favourite James song. It is the simple guitars that sound so lush as well as the brilliant crafted lyrics. This song is a 4 min crescendo, the builds are subtlety brilliant.

Song 3

Now for the third song we got a classic jingle jangle sound of the 90's indie sound. The acoustic rhythm guitar and the simple rolling drums again backed up by a brilliant lyrical turn and catchy chorus. The big choral backing vocals really work and make this completely compelling to listen to. Maybe it is the ultimate indie love song. What more do you want? I mean you want to look in my eyes and see my soul right?
