Three tune Tuesday and it is gonna be a lovely day

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about one of the greatest songwriter of all time Bill Withers who is an American singer/songwriter who wrote some of the most memorable songs ever. I think if you don't know him that well you will still know some of his songs.

Song 1

I picked a live version of this song "ain't no sunshine when she's gone". it is such an emotive song and you can feel he has written it from his experience. His heartfelt emotion in that smooth vocal is second to none. I think the sign of a great singer or performer is that when they sing it just seems effortless. Now sit back and listen with your eyes closed and let that silky and flawless vocal fill you with soul.

Song 2

Now "Lean on me" has maybe been a bit over used. the reason for this is that it is so brilliant that so many people and choirs have covered it. I mean its message alone is worth its weight in gold. I wonder if this is written about the same person as the previous song? Now I wonder if you can listen to this without singing or humming along?

Song 3

Now this starts with a brilliant bass line! This is another brilliant piece of writing
and the backing track is so cool. His band are like the coolest thing ever. then you get that killer day..........vocal. I mean how does he do it. I did this with a choir once and I used to end up red faced doing that line!
