Three tune Tuesday and it is an Empire of Sun from us, classic Aussie electro pop!

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do! So here we are for another week with some pure electronic pop!

Our picks

This week we are all about the "Empire of the Sun". A great electronic pop duo that have been a great source of inspiration. Coming out of Australia they made a big impact on the electronic music scene and hosted a range of remixes from their pop driven electronic songs. Song 1

Simple, catchy and great vocals this is probably their biggest hit. The driving rhythm and arrangement just keep this track moving. It is quite a simple little song this but it just has that ear worm kind of feeling that keeps you coming back for more.

Song 2

"on Our way home" is another unabashed pop tune. Again very simple in nature but catchy with strong vocals and plain beat. Empire of the sun are a great band to have on in the car to drive too. I love the flow of their music and this song definitely should be put on when you are "on the way home" from a night out!

Song 3

This is a brilliant tune "we are the people", being lead on the acoustic guitar again like many of their tunes. I mean it is now like 13 years old and I think time will tell it as a classic of its time. his vocals and lyrics are flawless and again its simplicity is deceiving of the craft it takes to make a song like this.
