Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about the Prodigy, an absolute inspiration on their production, sound and attitude! (here is the wiki about them https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Prodigy) There breakbeat, electro rock sound is so well made and produced I would be surprised if you don't know any of their tunes! Not only that they have some catch synth lines and compelling vocal hooks that should make anybody's playlist! To be honest this has been a hard choice only picking 3 but these are the free that mean the most to me.

Song 1

Not sure you get better than this? I mean check out the individual parts...the bass is like wow so cool and well played, the horns are from heaven, Stevie is on fire and the backing vocals are like angels....this is live too! I know one thing I would love to be in this band, maybe they need a tambourine player!

Song 2

I had to have this song in the list and picked the recorded version that I know so well. This is a regular on different playlists in this house. It really is so cool and so funky it has to be on the list. It has definitely got me up to the dance floor a few times too. I mean when you hear it you have to move. I am not sure

Song 3

Now I know all these songs are from a similar period but again how can I talk about Stevie without adding this song? it is impossible not to have this in any Stevie Wonder list. I mean again there is an element of perfection about this. The mix between technical proficiency and the vibe is what makes it so good. Again the individual elements are brilliant.

Bonus

Just as a highlight and to show you his absolute versatility as a musician. This is him doing a drum solo at the Summer of Soul concert in 1969. It is from a fantastic film documentary that is well worth checking out if you have not seen it

We love all types of music and hope that you like our choices!

Big up all the music in the world and the joy we get making and listening to it!

Stevie is a prodigy :) Superstition is in my all time top 10 songs. Oh, and Summer of Soul is excellent. Well worth a watch.
