Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it. It is great to see so many people joining in on Hive. So why dont you start doing a Three Tune Tuesday and explore some music you love but have not listened to for a while!

Our picks

This week we are all about Fleetwood Mac the classic English/American blues rock band with some of the greatest musicians of their time playing. They had a very distinctive sounds and some brilliant songs. they also had a lot of drama which I think potentially added to their song writing and creativity! Apart from the obvious brilliant drums and guitars I think there is something about the way the vocals merge and sound together. it is not easy to get a male and female vocal blending so well. In fact I cannot think of another band that does it so well. So here is a question - name other bands that meld the make and female vocals so well?

Song 1

Smooth and so beautiful, what you can hear here is the bass and drums keeping it so steady and cool it allows the vocals and layers of guitars shine above them.

Song 2

Ok so the Chain, it is just a classic, this is a live version I found and shows that they still got it and also their quality as musicians. This is as tight as anything and is a faultless performance of this song. Now the song starts brilliant and all is going smoothly then they come up with the middle eight and ending out of no-where! I mean what a brilliant riff and guitar solo. Those of you that know will also recognise it from the Formula 1 music...brings back some memories.

Song 3

Ok this is another classic and I think its sentiment is very much a sentiment of the time and how they were feeling. I mean it could also be a comment on their relationships....This is another song from rumours, in fact all the songs are from Rumours. I would argue it is maybe one of the best albums of its time and potentially of all time. it certainly made its mark and stands the tests of time.
