Three tune Tuesday and from Tik-tok to MiniSub to me.....to the Dirt Man....

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about the Carter Veil whom I only discovered last week. This is due to a song called "Dirt Man" which is less that 50 seconds long that is apparently big on the Tik Tok and my son insisted we learn to play and sing it. So after this I have been listening to him a bit and I have to say I like what I hear. I dont know much about it him really and I get the feeling he is about to break big as you can see him gaining traction.

Song 1

Ok so less than 40 second, has a bosa feel to it and ends abruptly....not sure what else to say except it is like 30 seconds of pure hook and is a very catchy little tune. We have been making longer arrangements of this song in a bosa lounge feel, love it cause its fun!

Song 2

So after Dirt Man this was kind of a surprise. I put this on next and just loved his easy going nature on this tune. It is kind of pure pop but not pop. Really nice lolling drums and guitars on this with an effortless vocal and some sweet backing vocals and harmonies. What not to like?

Song 3

Now this reminds me of a modern version of the late and great Tom Petty. Again it is so easy going and relaxed but also beautifully made. Simple guitars bass and drums and a pure pop chorus. There is a simplicity that makes this accessible and also familiar but he definitely has his own sound and vibe going on.

Just to show his is versatile, again very catchy, simple but compelling!

It looks like he is having a moment and I hope he does well from it. Nashville makes me think of Semisonic or Vampire Weekend, but Arizona has definite Tom Petty Vibes. The last one starts off sounding like Cake.

It seems anything can go viral these days and the old methods of getting airplay may be less important now. The important thing is that people are still making music.

Boyz you're bringing cooler music each week 😍😍 Carter Veil's tunes are surprisingly very very catchy "Dirt Man" hooked me instantly man😂. His vibe feels like a modern Tom Petty, especially in "Arizona." Exciting to see new talent emerging !BEER !PIZZA !LOLZ !WEED
