Three tune Tuesday and A post Sunflower at Christmas? What

Introduction

@ablaze has been doing 3 tune Tuesday for quite a while and we love the idea of it and some of the posts @stickupmusic has been doing it but I though I would join in too. it is a great way to listen to new music which is always something we want to do!

Our picks

This week we are all about the Post Malone, he is a multi talented writer, performer and producer. I thought he was a band for a long time until I started getting into his music more deeply. he has quite a varied approach to music and certainly has the ear for writing a great song with catch hooks and melodies.

Song 1

Now this first song is a classic, made massive by Spiderman. This is the first song I really got into by Post Malone, I remember hearing it on the radio in the car and turning it up loud. then I got home and made my family listen to it enough times until it got to the point it was in everyone's heads. SO why do I like it so much? I am not sure really, it has a strong beat and just has a floaty cool about it. The vocal is quite a catchy hook as well. Now I tend to analyse songs for living but this one I just love it, I still cannot pinpoint why, but does that matter?

Song 2

"Chemical" is a beautifully crafted little pop song. Classic chords, classic arrangement and flawless production. This song drives along nicely and just carries you away with it. Its driving but relaxed beat definitely carries you with it and his vocal is as soft and silky as ever, even though it does not match his general appearance.

Song 3

Now I definitely prefer his pop stuff to his more grime/rap stuff that he does. So here is another classic pop tune. This one feels more generic really but it is well written and again lets his voice shine a bit more than some of his earlier songs. he has definitely moved direction recently compared to his earlier stuff. Again this little romp is like a walk in the forest and it drives along nicely and dare I say it unoffensively!
