Reasons we like Rising Star and are you gonna rise with the Stars?

Introduction

Most people know how much we love Rising Star. I think it was the first game we played on Hive as we know of Atom Collector records from music things and then ended up on Hive and playing Rising Star. Rising Star is one of the things on Hive that just goes along with a huge fan and player base and does not shout too much. In some ways we do not think it gets the support and recognition it deserves.

Some projects on Hive (even games) get funding and do massive sales and pull out the profits to pay for themselves or for others. Rising Star has not done this @atomcollector and the lovely Julie have done this for love for over 3 years now! They are a project on Hive that should get more attention for all that they do for the eco system as a whole. This is why we wanted to do this post so that any of you Hivians out there can maybe have another look at this game or support them in some way.

We also think that anyone who plays or loves music should be playing this game. It is a must for any musician on the blockchain as the cards themselves are wonderfully done and if you like music you will appreciate some of the comments on the cards.

Reason 1 - Numbers

OK so people get excited in crypto about new and exciting things, I know we do! Nothing like the shiny promises of getting in early and making huge amounts of cash. However this is not the only thing we look for when go into a projects. Lets look at a few numbers here Rising Star has just had its 3rd Birthday. This tells us it is a stable project that has a committed team. They are constantly working on new features and making the game experience better for players. They recently upgraded their server too which is making the game so much faster to play (thank goodness for that).

Now the other number to look at is active players:

Now these are people that have played the game in the last 7 days. Now of course this is not the maximum amount that were playing in the bull but all projects suffer during different markets. However what other Hive project outside of Splinterlands has that many active people engaging? There are also no bots on RS which although it was difficult to do is one of our favourite things they have implemented to protect the future of the game.

Reason 2 - Tokenomics

ok so crypto goes up and crypto goes down....we all know that. Now if you understand the long game in RS it is all about Star Pro this was introduced to help raise the Starbit price. Star pro is currently deflationary and only 100 can be minted a day. The only way it can be minted is by burning Starbits thus reducing the inflation of Starbits. Now people moan that SB has reduced a lot and they are right, all crypto have since the ATH last year. However Star Pro is designed to support this and was always a long term plan of the team. What is nice to see is this plan is working. Starpro is needed for more and more things in the game and there just is not enough of it!

Reason 3 - Music

OK so might be a bit biased on this one. We love music and we have our music on the game radio and available for sale as NFT records. However come on we all love music right? There is some great music on there and something for everyone. What is even better is that they are Hive musicians. So not only can you listen to some excellent music that is part of the Hive family buy you can support them by buying a record and there are so many records to choose from!

Reason 4 - Community

Now RS has always been and is an awesome community. They are definitely a community first project. They support each other and it is also where a lot of great musicians hang out too. There are so many people to mention in this post but they know who they are. They support newbies and more experience players. Remember it is free to play and you can get started easily enough. There are many giveaways from the community as well so you can easily get started. Rising Star also do a daily post outlining all the current giveaways, you can have a look here and also give them a vote while you are there as all votes go back into the project and making it sustainable:

Reason 5 - Gameplay

Now on the surface this is an idle game and certainly 2 years ago it was just that. However now as the game has grown and progressed this game has become more and more tactical with more features being added all the time. Yes you can play it as an idle game but the tactics you use to progress and what you spend your "idle" time doing has changed dramatically. With so many features being added you now need a much clearer strategy. There are many ways to play this game as you can see if you chat to some of the top p[layers. On top of this new features live Raves which add a team work/PVP aspect to the game really do help to make it much more varied. So stop thinking about it, if you are on your computer all day this is a must play, so do it now!
