Introduction

We like to do currated playlists and also we are featured in hundreds of playlists on Spotify and wanted to higlight a few. We are always looking for suggestions for our playlist, so if you have a good idea then post a link to spotify in the comments!

This weeks playlist is all about the Blues which has so many classic songs which are the roots of some of the music we listen to now. We only just started this playlist so if you have a good suggestion then let us know in the comments!

Now this is quite tricky as with all genres you can split it up into country blues, rock blues etc We started going down an OG accoustic blues tangent then remembered things like the legendary JJ CALE. All suggestions very welcome!

Well lets start near the start as most things do....the iconic Robert Johnson who arguably is one of the most influential musicians of all time. This song covered many times by the like of Eric Clapton is definitely one to get into the heart of the blues with

Now is it blues, is it country is it something else? JJ CAle had a touch for music which so few can claim and on a personal note is a very influential person to both my playing and writing

Moving on to more modern forms of blues the Black keys are a phenomenal powerhouse and you can hear the blues influences especially in their earlier stuff.

Now this artists in one of my favourite Folk Blues players, underrated, hugely influential behind the scenes. Probably a genius who took to heroin like so many of the greats
