Three Tune Tuesday: Are you positive?
Although I ran on Sunday I was not feeling that great. I know the warning signs. These things tend to start in my throat and this soon developed into something worse. I did a test yesterday to confirm that I have COVID again. It is definitely still out there and we ought to be more careful.
So today I am not working, but I have been browsing Hive and enjoying the TTT selections. My old friend @brijwhiz did one for his first ever Hive post! @ablaze started this fun challenge.
I shall start with one I wrote some years ago, before COVID, when I was feeling unwell. You will notice that this was done for the old Steemit Open Mic, but I am not recording it again right now.
I will share a couple of tunes featuring some of my musician friends who I brought to Hive. I started a pub music session some years ago and that has been inspirational to me over the years. Several bands and other collaborations have come out of it.
@daniellemurray and I have performed as @swing47. Her clarinet playing has really developed over the years. This is a favourite tune that you may recognise from the original Star Wars. John Williams is a versatile composer.
@purplesinger plays piano and sings in our current band @theriverkicks and I have performed with her many times. She runs some local choirs and teaches singing. She does some wonderful creative videos that sometimes get entered in the current Open Mic contest. This is a Gilbert O'Sullivan song that also features @daniellemurray.
I would encourage everyone to have a go at making music. It is such a rewarding activity. You may not think you have the talent, but that comes from putting in the effort.

Oh no! Get well soon! I had something’s two weeks ago that might have been just that. Never tested though, so no way to tell at this point 🤷♂️
I don't think people are testing as much, but we have loads of kits. I don't want to spread it.
Yeah I think we should! Ironically I trashed some expired kits a month or two ago. Could have well used them…

Oh wow, that sucks. You know through all of this, I still officially have never gotten Covid (knock on wood). I may have had it and just never tested, but it would have needed to be a pretty mild case for me to not test at all. Alone Again is a great song, a bit heartbreaking, but still very good. They play it quite a bit on one of my favorite Satellite Radio stations.
I know lots of people who have had it, some more than once. It's not pleasant for me and may affect some much worse.
Sorry to hear you got caught again. What's the protocol nowadays? Do you still need to isolate and mask up? Take care and get well quickly you don't want to miss out on the turkey or eat by yourself in the bedroom 😉
I'm staying away from the family and obviously off work. No turkey for me anyway as I've not had meat in decades :)

I'm so sorry, I hope you recover soon. The good thing is that you can walk around Hive and you don't have to isolate yourself lol. But keep some rest so you'll be back before Christmas.
Oh, too bad you have Covid I hope you are feeling better and that you soon fully recover.
I never had any musical training, but I love music and I would have liked to play an instrument, maybe it's not too late to learn.

It's never too late. You can find lessons for everything online these days.
Music making is massive fun and you can lost in it. Covid however is not and hope you feel way better soon.

Please make sure that you treat Covid and maybe you should stay away from anything that will stress you for now till you get better

i think everyone had covid in the last 2 months. trying to remember did anyone i know was not sick last few months.
In our country, people don't get tested for corona anymore, they get sick, take other medicines and get well. Get well soon.

I have lots of test kits. I need to know if I have it to avoid spreading it.
Aw shucks!!! It is criminally bad to be sick during the festival season. I pray that it is a mild one and does not strain you overmuch!

The timing is not great.
I had a really creative few years of songwriting, but am finding it harder recently. I do get inspired by the musicians I play with though.
