The audio balance could be better. Maybe you could record your voice separately to mix it in later.

There are so many variables there and some make a big difference. I assume you can save all the settings, which may not be possible with hardware.

I'm running Ubuntu Studio and had a look at what is installed. I have not really played with the synths, but I found this modular thing. It has some examples, but I would need to find a tutorial on making my own.

It is a bit peculiar, as my mic has worked better in the past, with good clarity etc but I think it's more to do with the mixer and iPad connection. It is trickier when working with hardware and software to ensure the whole system is in balance and nothing is being overpowered by something else.

Bespoke Synth is said to be very good but I've never played with it all that much myself. It resembles tools such as Max MSP and Pure Data or maybe Bitwig's Grid.

We can take a look at Bespoke as part of the Music Technology community.

I am currently trying to knuckle down to a common set of tools and might sell some stuff that has fallen to the wayside and not been used in months.
