Jazz and folk in the woods

I had quite a musical weekend. On Friday we had our first open mic in a long while at The White Horse in Arlesey. We have had some great nights there and so it was fun to play there again in this format. I took my drums along to play Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll with a couple of guys (messily with no rehearsal) and then joined in with various others. Unfortunately I have no recordings of the evening, but you had to be there.
Then on Sunday it was off to Flopsy Wood near Hertford for Druidfest. This is a summer solstice event that we have played at for the last few years and they keep asking us back. Some of the band are involved with the druids and the local folk music scene. We have played there as folk band @theriverkicks and as jazz combo @themoonshots. Some of us are in both bands and both got to play today. The Moonshots are myself on drums, @daniellemurray on clarinet, recorder, mandolin and violin, @purplesinger on piano and keyboards, and Mick (our newest recruit) on guitar and vocals. Flautist @renaissancegeek could not make it this time. We played a few tunes like that and then were joined by Riverkicks star Anne Marie from Ireland on vocals, guitar and flute.
Flopsy Wood is a lovely venue near Hertford. They have various structures, including a shelter we played under previously, plus circles with fire pits.
They host other events too such as crafts. There are composting toilets, but no mains electricity. We used portable power units for the PA.
First on were BlueJam Acoustic who had some lovely original songs featuring trombone solos!
As it was so warm we played in the open on a stage that was distinctly uneven. I felt like I was leaning back, but I did not fall off.
The final set was an open jam where we were joined by the guy from BlueJam and a lady on squeezebox for more folk tunes. I was not familiar with all of them, but managed to join in on most. I am always conscious of trying to add something rather than just play for its own sake.
It was a great way to spend the afternoon and the crowd enjoyed it. There was some joining in with drums and shakers.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
