Disco is not to be underestimated. Gay or straight, or whatever you were taught... it took talent and warrior-like musical dexterity to make it happen.
It's one thing to just play the lick/riff. It's a another story playing it with good dance quality, 70's quality, high high rhythmic integrity.
Masters of disco helped make Duran Duran, and Quincy Jones, and more awesome.

This is another last minute song. The original singer fell ill and so everything that one might have prepared was "out the window."
It was health, but a little stressful.
