Do a search without Stevie Wonder and you will see several interpretations of this phrase in music and art… and my video’s title is wrong.
It got ouch while editing.

The original bass part is highly rememberable in my opinion, but I don’t know it exactly. I’ve listened to the song many times and my chart only contains chords. I make it up. I think I get pretty close to the original part. I just try to think like James Jamison might. I try to think of other Stevie Wonder songs that have challenging bass parts. Keep the pulse and energy good and emphasize the ends of 4 and 8 bar sections. People won’t know if I reinvent the bass part.
