Amp-stand’s Maiden Voyage For A Concert
A New Toy’s Maiden Voyage
This is my amp-stand. It’s like new to me. I plan to use it for the big band concert on Friday. They usually ask me to put my bass amp on top of a chair anyways. That’s almost the same thing as long as you allow the back of the amp’s bass port room to breathe/push out air.
See the black bars holding the bass amp (black square)? Looks like the bass amp has legs like a table, right? That’s an amp stand. It increases my car’s horsepower by 1.8.
Seriously though, it’s designed to get the speaker off the ground so that it projects more complete. Seems to reduce the amount of vibration in the floor also. Reducing the vibration going into the floor, probably gives the sound guy locks the flexibility and his microphones. Otherwise, the microphones are vibrating along with the microphone stands, which are vibrating along with the floor, which is vibrating because the amp isn’t direct contact with the floor.
I purchased this for a gig last year. I didn’t want the money to be an excuse and I wanted the amp stand to be available for a guitar player. 🤷♂️ He never used it. Stubborn, and spiteful because of a festering beef he had with a third party I haven’t mentioned. Their !drama, not mine.

And
I have one of those, but haven't used it much. If the controls are on the top then they become less visible. I hope it works well for you.
!BEER
True, I guess I never cared because I like to avoid turning around to fiddle with the amp. I TRY to set up the amp so that I only use my instrument’s controls. 🙂
