MORE LIVE MUSIC! A service of Josephs BassCam footage from April 12, 2026. Today’s video features a classic song called “Dancing In The Street”. Performed by me and the Jazz Derelicts, we do the version by Martha and The Vandals.

For this song I play in the back of the string near the bridge. I like the contrast in sound. It works well with more speakers. Bass sounds louder on shitty speakers because there are more high and mid rage frequencies produced.

The GoPro Session mounted to my bass was used to capture this footage. The mount is stuck between the pick guard and the tone controls. Same mount for many years. Was once used for a Hero3.
I have the GoPro Session on minimal setting… 1080, 30fps, and wide angle. Battery power usually runs out before the last part of our performance. I recently discovered that I save myself a lot of battery life and a lot of editing work if I just start and stop recording between songs. I have also discovered that I can capture the entire performance if I use my phone/mount after the GoPro runs out. I should just get another GoPro Session off eBay.

Bass: Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe 4 String… also known as “Bread and Butter.” when I was a full-time musician I used this bass and I modified it for longevity. I broke off the mid-range tone knob. It's okay. I'll fix it someday soon.

Thank you for reading and watching.
