Rawayana, una mezcla de sonidos [ES | EN]
¡Hola amigos de Hive! Hoy les traigo una Sessions que está increíble, me activa y ayuda mucho en mi proceso creativo, creo que por los ritmos tan diversos pero bien equilibrados.
What's up friends of Hive! Today I bring you a Sessions that is amazing, activates and helps me a lot in my creative process, I think because of the rhythms so diverse but well balanced.
Les quiero preguntar ¿han escuchado la banda Rawayana? Ellos, son venezolanos y desde que los escuche la primera vez (por allá, en el 2009) me atrapo. Su sonido es entre reggae, un poco de pop, juegan con un poco de rap. También, realizan varias colaboraciones donde es divino la diversidad musical que logran. Y algo peculiar -a mi parecer- es el tono de voz de Beto (vocalista principal).
I want to ask you, have you heard the band Rawayana? They're Venezuelan and since I heard them for the first time (back in 2009) I got hooked. Their sound is between reggae, a bit of pop, they play with a bit of rap. They also make several collaborations where the musical diversity they achieve is divine. And something peculiar -in my opinion- is the tone of Beto's voice (lead vocalist).
Pero, ¿qué tiene esta sessions de especial? Cuenta con cuatro (4) canciones:
- Funky Fiesta
- Váyanse Todos A Mamá
- Music Sounds Better With You
- Sádico
Justo, estas canciones muestran un poco de lo que les comento. La 2da canción, es de ese estilo de Los Amigos Invisibles o los Fabulosos Cadillacs, que sus piezas traen consigo, un mensaje de protesta, refleja una verdad de una o muchas situaciones por la que pasa un país; en este caso, "Váyanse Todos A Mamá" lo repetitivo y lo cansado que está la comunidad del descaro y poco creíbles que son los políticos (🇻🇪).
Dato curioso: esa canción, casualmente -o no- es un featuring con Los amigos invisibles.
But what is so special about this session? It has four (4) songs:These songs show a little of what I am talking about. The 2nd song is in the style of Los Amigos Invisibles or Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, whose songs bring with them a message of protest, reflecting the truth of one or many situations a country is going through; in this case, "Váyanse Todos A Mamá" is repetitive and shows how tired the community is of the shamelessness and lack of credibility of the politicians (🇻🇪).

Curious fact: this song, coincidentally -or not- is a featuring with Los amigos invisibles.
This set list of Rawayana is quite current, I like with this band in particular, listening to their songs randomly, as it is a journey. I recommend it 100%, but with a disclaimer, you will find songs that don't have deep lyrics, with a great message (you can listen to it with "Funky Fiesta") but, yes, with a great rhythm. Other, like "Mi amigo Luis" dedicated to a friend who passed away and they decided, through these lyrics, to make a hymn to friendship and to be aware of the value of life.
