Dancing at the Rawayana concert π―ββοΈππ½
Welcome to my blog!
This Friday I went to see one of the most important Venezuelan bands of today, Rawayana.
Since 2011 when this band released their first album I fell in love with their sound and their fresh latinidad.
Rawayana is a band that combines different musical styles, such as reggae, funk, rock and now some salsa. They were formed in 2007 and are known for their positive lyrics and laid back style. The band has gained popularity both at home and abroad, and have released several well-received albums. In addition, they are known for their energy at concerts and their ability to connect with the audience.
This Friday I went to see this band live at the Chamorro City Hall, in the city of Bogota.
A place quite removed from the city center but big enough to accommodate the 8000 people who gathered to see Rawayana.
The concert was scheduled for 9 pm, however, it started at 10 pm with a Colombian opening act named Verito Asprilla.
I didn't know her but I must confess that she was very catchy.
At 11 p.m. Rawayana started up and the place was buzzing with screams and people dancing.
They sang all their hits. Two full hours of show to travel from their first album "Licencia para ser libres" (2011) to the latest and most successful "QuiΓ©n trae las cornetas" 2023.
It was an incredible journey with visuals of Venezuelan landscapes and also their due interpretation of "El incomprendido" and "Lloraras", which with salsa classics that they have now versioned to bring them back to a new audience.
Around 1 am the concert ended. Although I went alone I was able to fully enjoy the night, dance, sing at the top of my lungs and experience the joy of seeing a band that I love live.
It is a band that is worth seeing, because they have a wonderful show and also an energy that reaches the last of their fans.
Music always elevates our energy, improves our mood and undoubtedly makes us feel emotional at a thousand percent.
I just saw this band and I want to see them again, it was like a party that I didn't want to end.
I hope you liked this post and I hope you go listen to Rawayana and tell me what you think.
Thanks for reading.
