Tiny Constellations | Bonnie Legion | Makis Gibs [Improv Guitar to Original Song]

✨ TINY CONSTELLATIONS ✨
Shavon Bonnie Legion & Makis Gibs
A Sound Legion Production

“Tiny Constellations” began with a performance improvisation by Makis Gibs, originally shared on his YouTube channel. There was something inside that guitar journey that immediately spoke to me.

I began writing lyrics and singing over Makis’ original improvisation, recording several different takes as the song slowly revealed itself. From there, Makis took the piece back into production and reworked the music around the song, transforming that original improvisation into the version you hear now.

His mixing, guitar work and production on this piece are absolutely stunning. What began as an improvised musical moment became something much bigger between us—a complete song and a little universe of its own.

TINY CONSTELLATIONS — LYRICS

I learned to walk where the old worlds end,
Through broken dreams and might-have-beens.
I took the pieces no one could see,
Little ghosts still burning in me.

Every goodbye left something behind,
A voice, a touch, a flicker of light.
They called it wreckage, let it disappear,
I found whole galaxies hiding there.

I don't need to go back,
I don't need to make it home.
Some things become brighter
When you finally let them go.

Tiny constellations, burning in the dark,
Everything I ever loved still leaves a little spark.
I carry what was broken, but I won't carry chains,
I'm stitching stars together from everything that's changed.
Tiny constellations, lighting up the way,
Nothing that I loved was ever thrown away.

I stood with one foot on either side,
Between who I was and what I survived,
Between the shadow, between the flame,
They were never enemies.

I remember the laughter,
I remember the rain.
I remember the versions of me
That won't answer to my name.

Everything is great: the guitar work, the vocals, the lyrics. It’s incredible how an improvisation can turn into something so amazing. Cheers, @soundlegion

Whether you consciously or unconsciously have tried to hide the physical beauty of your face through different multicolor layers of paint for long time. Your immense talent and brilliance as a composer, songwriter and performer of your own songs, combined with the power and energy of your delightful voice, makes you unique and unmistakable in the music world even in black and white. :)

So yeah babe, keep Throwing Paint all over the world. Since the whole world will have to notice you sooner rather than later.
