ELECTRIC IN A SPHERE
by Bonnie Legion

[Verse 1]
I got a lighter that just won’t light
I got a cigarette and I had a fight
I’m not feeling myself tonight
And I don’t know where I’m going

I got a headache that just won’t quit
All of these boxes that I don’t fit
Too many choices for where I should sit
And I don’t know where I’m going

[Chorus]
Knock knock, I’m not answering
Tell the world I’m not here
I changed my mind, don’t leave me behind
I’m electric in a sphere

Fast trains and airplanes
Take me to the pier
I changed my mind, can’t hit rewind
I’m electric in a sphere

[Verse 2]
I got a problem that I can’t solve
I got a body that won’t dissolve
I live in a question I can’t revolve
And I do not know where I’m going

[Chorus]
Knock knock, I’m not answering
Tell the world I’m not here
I changed my mind, don’t leave me behind
I’m electric in a sphere

Fast trains and airplanes
Take me to the pier
I changed my mind, can’t hit rewind
I’m electric in a sphere

[Bridge / Chorus Variant]
Knock knock, I’m not answering
Tell them all I’m not here
I changed my mind, don’t leave me behind
I’m electric in a sphere

Fast trains and airplanes
Take me to the pier
I changed my mind, I can’t hit rewind
I’m electric in a sphere

[Outro Verse]
I got a mountain that I’ve got to climb
I’ve got a guitar and I’ve got a rhyme
I’ve got a home here and you may remind
But I still don’t know where I’m going

Electric in a Sphere – Bonnie Legion
This track was written in a raw moment of emotional chaos—shortly after meeting someone who would flip my world upside down. I had just returned to the States, and everything felt both distant and buzzing with energy I couldn’t explain. Electric in a Sphere came pouring out like a confession I didn’t know I was carrying.

It’s stripped down—just my voice and a guitar—but there’s a storm under the surface. The lyrics explore that restless in-between space: wanting to hide and wanting to be seen, needing to run and needing to belong. I was unraveling old patterns, questioning identity, love, addiction, and that haunting question of where am I really going?

The phrase “electric in a sphere” became a metaphor for how I felt at the time—trapped in an invisible current, full of power I didn’t know how to control, circling within myself, unable to break free but still alive and sparking. My vocals are raw and imperfect here, intentionally so. I didn’t want polish. I wanted truth.

This one lives on my Bonnie Legion Acoustic album on Bandcamp, where I’ve made it available as a free download. It’s meant to be felt, not just heard.
