My Sony Walkman Nostalgic Memory

I have a lot of favorable memories from the early 1990s in which I had a tape player called a Sony Walkman.
Let me tell you, the Walkman was a fashionable and often times coveted item that had a radio and tape deck that was portable. This was log before you could buy an affordable CD or MP3 player with skip protection.
The Sony Walkman was released in the early 1980s, and I got one when I was around 10 years old. I have a memory of a woman in the park by which I lived who lost her Walkman. This must have been around 1990, and I was lost in my music at the time. This woman asks me if I had seen a Sony Walkman. I had not, and my mother mentioned she looked poor, and the Walkman was likely very important to her. I took another look, and she did look a bit thin and stressed out. It was one of my first encounters with someone less fortunate, and indeed the status symbols that was a Song Walkman was likely incredibly important to her wellbeing.
This happened in Portland in the early 1990s, and I wonder what happened to her. Did she find the Walkman those 34 years ago? She would be in her late 50s or early 60s now, and the world has changed so much since then.
