En ocasiones me es imposible conciliar el sueño: tantas cosas en que pensar extinguen esas ganas de sentirme tranquilo, relajado, libre del estrés de los días en los que las cosas no van tan bien. ¿No les pasa? Por supuesto, busco las maneras de combatir esos sentimientos dañinos, y en el proceso consigo un poco de alivio en la música. Me encanta armar playlist con determinadas canciones que clasifico según mi estado emocional; algunas son para cuando estoy muy feliz, otras para cuando entreno en el Gym y algunas para meditar. En esta ocasión le compartiré las piezas musicales que me ayudan a huir de la ansiedad, esperando que si también sufres de problemas emocionales, puedas liberarte con ellos en el silencio de tu habitación, junto a tus auriculares, mientras cierras los ojos y te dejas llevar por la paz mental.

Arcade – Ducan Laurence

Ducan Laurence es un artista nuevo para mí, sin embargo, Youtube Music se ha encargado de enlistarlo en mis reproducciones nocturnas. Arcada es una canción que me recuerda tanto a las batallas perdidas que en ningún sentido debí participar. Pero cometemos errores, y en ocasiones apostamos nuestro amor y cariño a alguna persona que solo juegan con nosotros, que nos lastiman y nos hieren aunque demos el 100% de nuestro corazón. Sucede de la misma manera con amigos, o incluso con metas: nadie conoce el camino hasta que comienza a transitarlo. De ahí el título “Arcade”: una metáfora a los sentimientos perdidos, y al hecho de que en ocasiones somos simples objetos con los que juegan, tal como esos videojuegos en los que nunca se gana.

Esta canción es sumamente Hermosa, diría yo que una de las mejores que he escuchado en mi vida, eso a pesar de que la descubrí hace muy poco tiempo. El piano es uno de mis instrumentos musicales favoritos después de la guitarra, al menos me encanta oír música donde prevalezca alguno de los dos instrumentos. Escuchar “To Build a Home” es recordar los que se volvió polvo, esa gran casa de sueños o amor que intentamos construir pero que se terminó desvaneciendo en el tiempo y en el olvido. Los sonidos son mágicamente orquestales, y esa voz tan hermosa que con pasión y nostalgia canta para que se ablande nuestro corazón. Admitiré que cuando la escucho las lágrimas me ganan por muchos motivos, pues parte de lo que he vivido resuena en esa lírica tan humanamente poética. A veces activo la reproducción cíclica y me quedo dormido oyéndola, jejeje.

Esta canción ha estado muy de moda en las redes sociales, y creo que el éxito que ha tenido se debe precisamente a su letra emocional y a su entonación, además del precioso estilo orquestal de fondo. Es una pieza perfecta para la auto-meditación: quizás decirnos lo que no nos atreveríamos de cuestionarnos, y desahogar ese nudo en la garganta que nos imposibilita mantenernos animados. Es necesario soltar lo agrio para abrazar lo dulce, aunque en ocasiones deba haber lágrimas en el proceso.
