Hello Afri-tunes family, welcome to week #54 of our weekly contest 😊. I trust we all are doing good, for this week I'd be performing the secular song as suggested in the community for week #54 which is Xtra-cool by Nigerian record producer, singer-songwriter Young Jonn. This song has a very happy feel,lovely rhythm that makes you wanna dance anytime you hear it play. The song is sang mostly in English and fused with some words in Yoruba.

Xtra-cool is a love song talking about how lovely and beautiful a relationship mostly is when it's really new. We all can relate to this I'm sure, lol when the love is still new and fresh. But then why can't it always be so lovely as it was in the beginning?. Love is commitment, Love is discipline..it's not all fun and roses. The artiste tries to reassure is love interest that he's got her no matter what, even though he's always on the road and not always there for her. She's always on his mind and he can't stop thinking about her, He loves her so much. He wants her to trust him just like when the love first started, things happen in life that are beyond our control, it's not his fault that he can't always be there even when he wants to...Life happens but we gotta keep trying to get what we want, fight for our love but sadly these days no one wants to fight for what they want. They feel it should always be served on a platter just like it was in the beginning of the relationship.

Confío en que todos estemos bien, porque esta semana interpretaré la canción secular sugerida por la comunidad para la semana 54, que es Xtra-cool del productor de discos nigeriano, el cantautor Young Jonn. Esta canción tiene un sentimiento muy alegre, un ritmo encantador que te hace querer bailar cada vez que la escuchas tocar.
