Wednesday Walk - Typical Day
Here's a typical day commute walk for this #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay
I get off the train and rush as fast as possible through all the other commuters to the office.
The bridges are always a pinch point, everyone packs them and it is difficult to get past anyone if you are a fast walker.
I used to take these water taxis to my old office but now I can just walk to my new one.
Gotta rush by the opera house and get past all the heavy commuter foot traffic.
Once I'm past the opera building things clear up a bit.
I wonder how the CME Group is doing with that Japan carry trade stuff... I saw a few worried faces yesterday and on Monday...
Now its time to doge perpetual landscaping construction on the building next to mine. To replace a few planters takes literally two years.
Also have to watch out for cars speeding into and out of the parking garage.
Now I have an extra hour this morning. Perfect time to visit the Vault music room. It used to be a bank but now is just for office drones to listen to and play music.
Look at this ancient high tech door. The thing is probably three feet thick and has all sorts of contraptions in it.
I setup my improvised recording studio and play whatever comes to mind. If its good then I make a video out of it.
Now my extra hour is over and its time to work in the pods... You will eat ze bugs in ze pods while working... Just kidding these pods are nice for taking calls in.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
thanks for sharing your commute, now being retired I do kind of miss my old commute somedays
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
I'm sure you barely miss it lol. Nothing like getting stuck behind slow walkers.
thats why i used to go into the office very early before there was too manypeople on the street LOL
Yeah its terrible going in at the normal time especially during winter when its cold and everyone is still walking slowly.
Some people don't survive those zoom calls in the pod that just go on way too long 😆
Cool commute. I think the traditional commute with the rush to the office downtown is becoming a relic of bygone days. Too bad. It is an iconic part of the culture.
Fortunately they drilled some holes in those pods for air. Maybe the skyscrapers can be turned into huge aquaponic farms if no one works in the office anymore.
