Three Tune Tuesday - Recent Jams

This first one was an improvisation on a cheap Mexican Telecaster in the basement of my office. I setup a 6/8 metronome and played whatever came to mind. Once I had the guitar part I composed some drums around it and added effects via guitar rig 7. It ended up sounding like post rock.

The basement also has a Fender acoustic guitar. The action is a bit high so you really need to fight the strings on this one. Here I played whatever came to mind in standard tuning. I mostly wanted to test how well my Insta 360 captured audio. It does ok but I needed to run a heavy ambient noise reduction process in Adobe Audition to reduce the ambient hum of the building.

Based on the Insta 360 capturing audio badly I did a second test on the acoustic with my Zoom H6 as the microphone. The zoom does a much better job of capturing the guitar without all the room noise. For this test I also precomposed a loop to jam to and tuned the guitar to DADGDE as my backing track was basically in the key of D.
