Three Tune Tuesday - KEXP Live Performances
(Edited)
Here are some fun live studio performances for this #threetunetuesday by @ablaze
This first band is called Slift. The first song is probably their most famous one. They kind of remind me of a grunge version of the band Cream. I really like their overall spacious sound and open format songs.
The next band is Blouse. They are my go to band when I want to listen to simple basic music. They remind me of Molach Doma just with a female singer. I first learned about Blouse when I was searching for bands that played a Les Paul Jr. They are one of the few bands that do.
Now for a bit of shoegaze. This band is called A Place to Bury Strangers kind of like My Bloody Valentine but with an out of tune singer that you can understand the words lol. The drummer really does all the work for this band, and the crazy amount of effects pedals on the guitars. Looks pretty easy for the guitarists as they saw on one chord mostly. Gotta love the shoegaze genre.
KEXP is pretty fun for finding new bands and seeing how well they play live. Good for figuring out if you want to buy tickets to a concert. Most of these bands would play in small venues too not annoying large stadiums where the sound is bad and you need binoculars to see the band lol.

Always learn something about music on your posts. KEXP is a good find for me.
They have a nice array of genres too, something for everyone, though I haven't heard rap on there yet lol.
Very cool. For me is KEXP favorite for listening to live performances. 😎👍
They have a great setup for live performances and they keep the audio almost studio quality.
Oh wow, Blouse really is a fun listen. I wasn't expecting that after Slift, but it was really smooth.
Both of their albums are pretty good. I'm pretty sure they are defunct now though.
That dude from Slift is gone for Wolverine with that beard!! Haha
Great sound though to be fair, I have had it on here in the background, while I get some work done, and must say I enjoyed it.
Nice one, I like Blouse, nice easy listening. Quite simple Guitar rifs, drums, synths and a really nice quite voice, I'll be back for more of Blouse, thanks for the intro.
Shoegaze, nice, this will be right up @sagesigma's street then, have you heard of these guys Sage?
