Three Tune Tuesday - Idiopan Songs
Here are a few of my idiopan songs for this #threetunetuesday by @ablaze
This first one is called solstice as I recorded it during the winter solstice. The idiopan is quite fun to pickup and play whatever comes to mind. Each tongue can be tuned by sliding magnets underneath. In this case I have it tuned to e pentatonic so it can accompany a standard tuned guitar.
This one is called fractal world and it shows how the idiopan can accompany bass and guitar in standard tuning. There's also a kalimba and some ebow in the mix.
Here's what the idiopan sounds like with acoustic guitar. One of these days I have to try and do another one of these jams.
BONUS ROUND
This one shows how many different sort of sounds you can get out of an idiopan. Right now I have this on the ground so my daughter can make random noises with it. She is in tye flailing around crawling phase so she can belt out a note or two and she loves playing the idiopan.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Cool bonus video on the idiopan. Saved me google session 😊 I guess my kid was culturally deprived. He just loved beating on good old pots and pans. My oldest. I think it was more the chaos for him than the music. Tearing grandmas kitchen apart lol
Oomph I'm fast approaching the phase where she will get past her gate into the kitchen to unload all the pots and pans in the cabinets. For now we just give her various safe kitchen utensils to play with. She prefers that stuff to all the toys we got her. I'll try and control her chaos with the idiopan and handpan, maybe teach her the metronome as soon as possible.
Yeah, these were a tonne of fun. That's a really neat instrument with a really neat sound. I bet your daughter must enjoy banging on it! I think I would too!😂
They are super fun, I'm almost tempted to get one of the smaller ones to accompany the bigger one. You can tune them in super weird ways too via the magnets. Its a great way to get infants into music as its safe with no moving parts.
These are great!! What a cool instrument and look at your daughter getting stuck into at such a young age knocking some sounds out of it too. I remember being introduced to this instrument around one year ago by @blackdaisyft and being blown away by the diversity of sound and shape of it. It's really cool and you really know how to play it, great work my friend. It was cool hearing it blending so well with the other instruments on Fractal World.
Its a pretty easy way to get into music. I have to tuned so it sound good no matter what note you play but you can get pretty complex with strange tunings to fit specific songs if needed.
Such a cool instrument man, but I've a feeling you're being modest and it's not that easy at all!
Its super easy, if you can hit beats to a metronome and its tuned pentatonic style there's no messing up. Once you get out of pentatonic into tricky scale that's where it gets tricky. There are some interesting sound techniques too if you want to get advanced with it.
