It is time for another #sitarsaturday
This time I'm focusing on some jams by Ravi Shankhar. I love the vintage video that goes along with this jam. Talk about flower power and a serious influencer of the Beatles.
Here he is in the 80s still jamming. Keeping Indian classical music alive.
He kept jamming until he died and still played quite well even in his 90s. Now his daughter is keeping the sitar legacy alive.

You have to fix it up and start playing it again. A bit of wood glue should do. The restringing process will take hours though.

Classic stuff. The Monterey Pop film is awesome. It was on Apple TV recently, maybe still is 🤔
Ah I'll have to try and find it on roku.
