LA Night - A Synthwave Instrumental
Here is a synthwave instrumental I composed in the hotel room while working on a project in LA. I started the drums on the plane via my akai mini mpk 3 and my laptop. Then it was off to work for a good 15 hours. Unfortuantely I couldn't fall asleep because California is two hours off from Chicago so I stayed up finishing the composition. In the meantime I setup the Insta 360 to take a timelapse video outside the window overlooking the USC campus. The streets on the campus were a bit empty because it was spring break but the air had quite a bit of activity with planes flying nonstop into LAX. Overall it came together well, I'll have to keep this tradition of composing late night music in the hotel room on business trips lol. That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

I wonder if the few helicopters were searching for criminals, its a kind of rough part of town lol.
I saw them circling. I gotta quit buying Catcher in the Rye...

Have you ever watched Conspiracy Theory with Mel Gibson and Julie Roberts? Mel Gibsons character is obsessed with the book. He's on the run but stops and buys a copy of the book. They track the transaction and then the black helicopters come 🙂
The musical composition is good and the video is the view of the campus or the hotel?
