Hello Afri-tunes community and everyone reading and watching my video, I hope we're doing good...
Once again I'm here with my entry as we usually do weekly in the community sharing and exploring beautiful African tunes.
Today I'll be doing a cover of a very old song but still very relevant and meaningful, we call songs like this "EVERGREEN" songs like this will continue to be in existence like forever.
It's a prayer song for the end of the year and also for the new year that's coming ahead, so this time of the year is when people mostly sing it.

The song is by Mrs. D.A Fasoyin, titled "odun nlo sopin" meaning the year is running to an end. Obviously we're in November and in few days we will march into the new year. In times like this, it's good to seek God's mercy and grace in other to cross over to the new year and also in good health.

At the end of the year such as this, it's believed that there use to be a lot of evil occurrence but with God on our side, even if people are falling victims around us, it won't get to us, we won't be a victim of evil circumstance. It's only those that God protects that are free from evil, may the hand of God's protection be on us throughout this year and beyond. (Amen)
Thank you. 🥰

Thanks for sharing. Though is a Yoruba song that I don't understand but your explanation gives it the light needed for one to understand. The year is running to an end. We have also achieved alot because we are still alive.
Happy Sunday
