AFRI-ANNIVERSARY: MY FAVOURITE AFRICAN TUNES

(Edited)

Music is one of those things that connect people together irrespective of their gender, age, country, etc and it has in so many ways helped me, I can't even quantify or say how much it had aid me in living a good life. Sometimes when am bored or not in a good music and I listen to music I feel very much okay and rejuvenated.
Anyways, I don't usually listen to secular music, just once in a while, the genre of music i do is mostly Gospel. Probably because I'm a church boy, a member of the choir and so on.

My love for music made me go extra mile to learn how to play some musical instrument like the guitar, keyboard and set drum. Though am still a learner in these instrument but the little I know is always making me love music the more. The more deeper I go the more my love for music.
To me I'll say music is life, it's a combination of sounds that's pleasing to the ear.

I don't really have a particular song as my best song but I have lists of them, and some I can't even remember them but for now, my top 10 favorite songs are;

  • Daddy wey dey pamper (by Moses Bliss)
  • Too faithful (by Moses Bliss)
  • Na you dey reign (by Mercy Chinwo)
  • Obinasom (by Mercy Chinwo)
  • Tobechukwu (by Nathaniel Bassey ft. Mercy Chinwo)
  • Wonderful wonder (by Nathaniel Bassey)
  • Osuba (by Peterson Okopi)
  • Aanu (by Gbenga Akinfenwa)
  • Oke nla nla (by Kay Wonder)
  • Imole de (by Dunsin Oyekan)

These are just few of the numerous songs I love, I can't keep counting because if I should, maybe this post won't have an end, lols...
But generally I have some selected music artist that I love personally, so any song they produced I virtually fall in love with them, because I love them, I naturally fall in love with there songs too. People like Dunsin Oyekan, Mercy Chinwo, Nathaniel Bassey, Moses Bliss, Gbenga Akinfenwa and the likes. Let me just say these music Minister's has my automatic love button. I fall in love with their songs in no time.

I will just talk about why I love the songs of these wonderful music Minister's listed above, asides the fact that I love them in person.

For instance, Mercy Chinwo; being a woman, the kind of energy she put in her songs is very powerful. And then her voice is so magical, likewise Moses Bliss, he's young and has melodious voice, these got me attracted to his songs, I think his first song I listen to was "Too faithful" trust me that song is so special to me. Nathaniel Bassey too has his way of singing that I love and then the way he plays the trumpet is Heaven on Earth.

Lastly I hope this wonderful community get to be like and even bigger than the already big communities on hive today, communities like hive open mic, pukumundo and the rest of them. Where we'll have more communities and people that will support Afri-tunes and make it a very big community as well.

I hope to see the community grow so big that we'll be having numerous entries like three to four times of what we're having now, I know it can happen and soon we will surely get there. In addition, I look forward to seeing more people outside Nigeria and from foreign countries joining us in the community, it's good to have @aly.squid seeing her entry gives me a special kind of motivation. Keep up the good work dear friend.

Let me also seize this opportunity to express how happy I'm seeing and celebrating this beautiful anniversary, the first of it's kind of Afri-tunes community, I strongly believe and pray that the community will continue to grow bigger and better day by day.

Special thanks to my boss @ksam for this polo, more blessings chief 🙌

Thanks for stopping by.

Music is indeed life my dear. It sets you on a particular frequency and this is more reason to choose carefully the songs we listen to. I was really expecting you to do a music presentation but your article is just as great.

Moses Bliss has a very spectacular voice and so does Mercy Chinwo. I love her voice energy, its electric.

Yes oh, afri-tunes Community will keep growing bigger and better by God's grace. Thanks for sharing my friend.

I love Mercy Chinwo too, that her voice can move a mountain.
I wish to have such singing strength, I just love it when I listen to her. I also get chills in my body each time she belts in her songs.
She's good, and the same goes for the other artists you mentioned. It's just a matter of one consistently practicing.
