Taylor Swift's '1989 Taylor's Version' Listening Party

Hi everyone! It's Sheree here again, and again, hahaha. Ange is a bit busy with her academics, so I'm the one posting on our blog for now.😄

We're diving into Taylor Swift once again, hehe. We all know that after she announced the release of "1989 Taylor's Version," it's one of the most anticipated events. Why? Well, besides "Reputation," this is also one of her "NO SKIP" albums, right?

If you remember, Ange and I attended the Listening Party for Speak Now TV in Market Market before. Of course, we wouldn't miss the 1989 event. We looked for a mall nearby where there would be a listening party because it's so much fun to join – you get to meet fellow Swiftie fans, and, of course, there are freebies at every event! Hahaha.❤️

SM Mall of Asia posted that they would be hosting a listening party by the seaside with a sunset view! Ange and I immediately registered for their application to reserve our slots because we were sure there would be a lot of people attending. There wasn't a listening party near us, so we decided MOA was a manageable option, and Ange has a motorcycle we can use to save on transportation.

On October 28, 2023, the actual event, our plan was to arrive early since the first 189 attendees would receive freebies, which was our main goal. However, hahaha, we ended up arriving late. We got there past 10, and it was scorching hot. The venue was an open area, and we couldn't predict the weather because it was overcast and intense heat.

They let people in right away, as long as you showed the barcode given during registration. They gave us Katinko with Ginger and a sticker for each person entering. It was cute because we didn't expect them to provide that – perfect for those who often have headaches due to work or academics! Hahaha, admit it, it gives off some "tita vibes" starter pack! Hahaha.

When we entered the venue, there were only a few people, the photo booth and stalls hadn't opened. They were selling merchandise and had food, but when we arrived, they were still setting up. So, we sat by a fountain that wasn't working at the time to pass the time, but it was so hot that Ange and I decided we might not finish or even start the event, especially since it was a weekend and incredibly hot. I couldn't bear the heat, as we were already sweating even before it began.

So, Ange and I decided to browse the merchandise stalls. We wanted to buy a lot, but some of them were a bit pricey, and we could always print posters ourselves. The items they were selling were so tempting that you'd want to buy everything, so Ange and I just focused on the stickers that could go on our tumblers, especially on our aquaflasks. :>

Of course, we bought the affordable ones and also got some stickers for our Swiftie friends as souvenirs. Tote bags, T-shirts, necklaces, stickers, posters, keychains, tattoos, and a poster calendar were among the things they sold! This was hilarious, haha, as the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections were coming up, so they made a poster calendar for the SK Kagawad. Hahaha.

After buying some items, Ange and I went inside the mall because it was still scorching hot, and we had lunch since it was already past 12 PM when we left the venue. Of course, we snapped a few pictures at the location so that we'd have some memories even if we decided not to continue with the event.

Before having lunch, Ange and I explored the SM Mall, looking for stores that would be fun to visit on weekends, like ice skating, bowling, an archery range, and laser tag. We want to try these when we have some savings again, hahaha.😉

It was still unbearably hot, we made the decision not to go back to the main venue. Maybe we'll make up for it at the Reputation TV Listening Party!! Hahaha, this is our favorite album, and it truly is a "no skip" on our playlist.

While we may have missed out on the 1989 Taylor's Version Listening Party due to the sweltering heat, we knew that there would be plenty of opportunities in the future to connect with fellow Swifties and make new memories. And for now, we eagerly anticipated the upcoming Reputation TV Listening Party as a chance to relive the magic of Taylor's music once again. ✨💕
