Last Tuesday, I shared three emo songs from Eric Chou. This Tuesday I want to share some not so popular songs from Linkin Park for three tune Tuesday playlist contest by ablaze.

Linkin Park was one of my favorite rock bands listening to growing up. I like pretty much most of their popular songs and a few underrated ones which I am sharing today. Linkin Park has some songs where they are borderline screamo. I'm not a fan of screamo and I feel Linkin Park is just right before that screamo genre so Linkin Park would be my highest tolerance when it comes to screaming in songs. A fun fact about Linkin Park is their name came from one of the members always driving by Lincoln Park and they changed the spelling so they could have a domain name since the one with lincoln was already taken.

I think most people that know Linkin Park never heard of this song before. The song starts out with a rap and then goes instrumental until the end. Based on the lyrics, I believe the song is about talent in rapping and hip hop. There are people that are wannabes that just make up weak childish rhymes and this song is telling them to step it up.

Valentine's Day is about spending time with that special person. Well this song is more towards the sad side. The guy suddenly fell into this darkness and realized that he was sad and alone. He finally realized what he was missing on Valentine's Day and this was most likely because all the memories of the past Valentine's Day played inside his head.

My favorite part of this song is the last part when they start the "On Valentine's Day"

Out of these three I saved my favorite for last. The lyrics are really sad and the meaning is quite straightforward. The song is about a relationship that ended. The girl is lying to the guy. She keeps telling him to go but at the same time trying to keep him. She's also telling him she loves him but in her eyes the guy just sees that it's not true. The guy is tired of her lies and wants to break up peacefully and not to have any leftover pieces. The pieces believe are his attachment to the relationship. He doesn't want anything to do with her anymore. She can be the one to be in pieces and be stuck regretting for what she has done.
