So Sick

I bought some new pickleball shoes a while back and took my new shoe ritual photo where I balance a shoe on my head. The shoe I bought was the adidas gamecourt 2.0 I believe. Over the weekend, I played pickleball as usual but something out of the ordinary was taking my grandma and grandaunts out for dinner on Sunday; the food was good and I'll need to do a post on it. Apparently, they were shocked when they heard from my cousin that I wanted to take them out to eat. They thought I made some big money or something which I didn't. After my mom visited, I realized that I should spend more time with them since they are getting old and could pass away anytime; they did also take care of me while I was growing up so taking them out to eat was the least I should do. I'm planning to try to arrange it once a month with my cousin. On the other note, I'm getting my coaching cert this coming Saturday but not looking forward to the 8:30am-5pm class and another good news is that I got selected for the BDE team so I will be having drilling and coaching weekend mornings starting Nov 1st.

It's Tuesday and as usual I want to share three new songs for you. They are all from different singers and I hope there's one song here that you will like.

This song is from a Taiwanese movie called 96 minutes. I watched this with my cousin like two weeks ago during mooncake festival. The movie was about defusing bombs and choosing who to save when presented with a moral dilemma of whether to save the minority or to save the majority. In most cases, most people would choose to save the majority but what if your family or loved one was under the minority; then there's that indecisiveness that kicks in.

This is a Chinese song but from a Hokkien dialect which is the majority language in Taiwan. I don't speak Hokkien and I didn't search up the meaning of the lyrics for this song but based on the melody and the title, it's probably about someone that lost their loved one. It could be the loved on passing away or maybe just a break up so it's open to interpretation.

Beautiful - 米卡 Mika

This song is a Chinese cover of a Korean song which is from one of the most famous Korean dramas called Goblin. For me, I prefer the Chinese version but you can search up the Korean one as well to figure out which one you like better. The song is just a sweet love song related to the drama about a goblin that falls in love with a human. A part of the lyrics that help support this is "the mortal world has you"

SO SICK - 周湯豪 NICKTHEREAL

NICKTHEREAL is one of my favorite Chinese singers that blend some elements of rock into his songs so sometimes I feel like it's C-Rock even though he's more known as a R&B and pop type of genre for his songs. I like the lyrics of this song. I believe it's for those that face some rough problems in life. I particularly like the lyrics "這世界 makes you so sick" which means the world makes you so sick.

Lately, I have felt this way after seeing some of the news. It makes me sick some of the things I see and who knows whether some of the stuff is real or not or what they want me to see. One of the real news lately in Malaysia was the stabbing of a 16 year old girl by a 14 year old boy. The main reason was because the boy was rejected by the girl but it seems he was mentally ill as well. In any case, it's wild for a boy to bring some knives to school and stab a girl just because of getting rejected. If getting stabbed wasn't enough, it was confirmed by the mother that the girl was stabbed over 200 times. If that wasn't bad enough, people reshared the obituary of the girl with a different qr code to scam some money from donations that should be going to the girl's family. It's really "so sick" to see some of things happening in the world sometimes.
