Sacrifice, Cry For Me, Burn Me Into the Light

I had a pretty chill weekend at the pickleball courts. I started early Saturday refereeing for a few hours; it was a bit of a last minute ask but I went ahead with it because it's easy money. After that, I went to attend another pickleball birthday surprise for a friend. Then on Sunday, I had a selection tryout for a tournament team. I hope I made it; I should be finding out within the next few days whether I made it in or not. They are choosing 12 people out of 31 that attended so I feel like I have a good chance but I'm not expecting too much. After that selection, I had a social session for three hours and the rest of my day was just chilling.

Today, I want to share three random new songs I recently discovered on YouTube for Three Tune Tuesday. Hopefully, there is one song suitable for you. Even though the songs are random, somehow the title of the songs can kind of relate to each other.

Sacrifice - G.E.M.

Sacrifice is the World's 2025 anthem for League of Legends sang by G.E.M. who is one of my favorite female Chinese singers. Honestly, I was hyped when I found out G.E.M. was singing the song for this year but the song ended up a bit disappointing for me. Another fun fact is this is 15 years of Worlds so I thought the song would be better! Even though I don't play League as much anymore, I will watch T1 play and the finals every year. They did something wholesome at the end of the video. They honored Shushei by giving an animation of him holding the trophy. I believe they did this because he recently died of cancer but not only that he was part of the team that won the very 1st World's and he was also the MVP. As for the song, I believe it's about the sacrifices that need to be made to be a top pro gamer in League of Legends such as the endless hours training to be better etc.

Cry For Me - Michita ft 愛海

I love the melody for Cry For Me. This is my main reason for sharing it. The lyrics are sad. I believe it's about someone that died and they wish that their loved ones will cry for them. The person hopes for happiness in the next life if there is one. I could be totally wrong; this is just my interpretation. Do let me know in the comments what you think this song could be about.

Burn Me Into the Light - MINNIE & SHUHUA

Burn Me Into the Light got recommended to me by YouTube. The song is part of the song track for a Netflix series called The Resurrected. The singers, MINNIE and SHUHUA are from a K-pop group called i-dle. Minnie is Thai and SHUHUA is Taiwanese. I'm mentioning this because this song is a cool mix of Thai, English and Chinese. I believe the song is about being positive and looking at the good and to forget the bad things that happen in the past. Based on the lyrics and the video, I'm guessing the song is talking about someone that is dying and this person that is dying wants to be burned so they can shine bright and give hope to others.
