Introduction

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday! I shared three songs from Goo Goo Dolls last week for Three Tune Tuesday. Today, I want to share songs from a band called Pierce The Veil. Pierce The Veil means to kind of go deeper into something than just the surface level. It's kind of like diving deeper and revealing the truth hence the title of the thumbnail.

This is another American rock band which was in 2006. This band truly has a lot of great songs and I love the title of some of the songs. For example some names like Stained Glass Eyes and Colorful Tears, I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket, She Makes Dirty Words Sound Pretty. They kind of make you curious about what the song will be like.

It was hard to choose three but I chose the three ones I liked at the moment.

#1. Hold On Till May - Pierce The Veil

This is an interesting song because according to songfacts Vic, the guy that wrote this song, heard a story from a girl he used to date that her parents neglected her. The girl would hide up in the trees but the parents would not even bother to look for her. Anyways he wrote this song for that girl and the song also does share a bit about a relationship if I'm not mistaken. This is one of there more popular songs and I feel it was a good opener to give a feel of how meaningful Pierce The Veil songs are.

#2. Million Dollar Houses (The Painter) - Pierce The Veil

This is another deep song. The song is about a guy that is a painter that is married and poor. He works painting rich people's houses and well apparently he wasn't able to afford his house anymore and this is based off the lyrics "I make the money, but we just can't keep this home". The guy is trying his best through this hard times and he doesn't want to lose his wife to somebody else which is his motivation to work hard which can be supported by the lyrics "I've broken bones for you". At the same time, in a sense he can completely understand if she left her because she could do a lot better. This can be supported by the lyrics "And if he stole you from me
On my arm there's a tattoo of your name". The tattoo would figuratively mean the permanent damage and memories with her if she was to leave him.

#3. Props & Mayhem - Pierce The Veil

This time I'm not sure if I can say I saved the best for last. I feel all these three songs are equally good and each have their own uniqueness and story to it. For this song, it's kind of about the ups and downs of love. The props is like the good times and the mayhem is the bad times. The song uses a lot of figure of speech which kind of give it a great visualization of the story. I also love the different phases the song has where it goes soft-loud, slow-fast and a super nice guitar solo kind of towards the end.
