3 Random Tunes
Introduction
It's another Tuesday which means another Three Tune Tuesday. I shared three songs from BTS last week for Three Tune Tuesday. Today, I am going to change it up by sharing three random songs that I found recently.
#1. Who I Am - Alan Walker, Putri Ariani, Peder Elias
I found this song recently and I think it's an interesting collab. It was two great vocals with a great music producer. I have shared Peder Elias before for three tune Tuesday. As for Putria, I actually recognized her from America's Got Talent. It caught me by surprise that she was in this song. For those that don't know, she's from Indonesia and if I'm not mistaken due to premature birth she's blind. She sings super well though! Alan Walker is self explanatory I hope.
Anyways the song is about someone being different from others or should I say the average people. I think this song is actually related to the two singers. I'm not sure about Peter but for Putri the song could be talking about how she's born blind but she's not letting that affect her. She accepts that this is who she is and she will keep moving forward even if she ends up making mistakes.
#2. I Know You Know - Li Zhi Ting (李治廷)
I think this song was randomly suggested to me from Youtube. I never heard of this singer before so I just did some research. Li Zhi Ting is actually also known as Aarif Rahman. Well that's not a Chinese name. Apparently, he has a mix of Arab, Malay and Chinese which I think is pretty cool. He's also an actor for Hong Kong dramas.
I love the simplicity of the song. It's a sweet song with a soft melody and great vocals. The song is just about two people falling in love with each other and according to the song they are both aware of each other's feelings even though they may not have conveyed it to each other yet.
#3. Stuck In The Middle - BABYMONSTER
Babymonster what a cool stage name for a group. I feel that all the members kind of have a baby face. This is a K-pop group that auditioned for their members and debuted in 2023. They are managed by YG Entertainment which is one of the top entertainment agencies in Korea. I found this song interesting because the whole song was in English which seems to be happening more lately in the K-pop industry. They could be doing this to penetrate internationally better; I'm not sure but it's definitely getting my attention.
The meaning of this song is straightforward. It's about a girl that has fallen in love with a guy. The guy left her with a lot of empty promises. He seemed to give her a lot of mixed signals by telling her he needs her but at the same time leaves her. Now she's stuck because she can't seem to move on. At least this is what I think I could be wrong though.
