Resonance Experiments is the name I gave to a series of live events meant to explore new territory, a chance for myself (and potentially the audience) to overcome subtle self imposed limitations and actively create a moment together, to gently chip away at order, and to give meaning to chaos.

I wanted a chance to experiment and see how closely my inner and outer worlds align and as the event continues we will keep playing with ways to invite the audience to do the same.

Each time there are a set of challenges I give myself and everyone in attendance. These challenges are not stated directly but embedded quietly into the event itself. Nothing grand, nothing involuntary and no pressure, just subtle adjustments and invitations to more of a two way communication.

As we tinker with it and as new faces join and bring their own flavors to the mix, it will continue to evolve. How will the boundary between stage and audience continue to blur?

This release is a documentation of the first two shows we did. I wanted to be able to look back in a year or two and remember how we started, but also give everyone a little glimpse into where we might be headed.

I chose the songs and jams during my performances which translated best into audio recordings and gave the best snapshot of what I+Everything currently is.

Big bloopers were left in cause they are part of the fun, but all songs were remastered from the original live recordings.

3 tracks are songs I wrote and the other 3 are improvised jams. A few friends also joined in on vocals, guitar and melodica.

It’s also worth noting that these were my first two shows on electric guitar. I’ve done a bunch of shows around Japan and China before, but always on acoustic guitar. And I’ve jammed at friends places or in the studio before but never on stage. I already listened to our song some people listen to it like they said. I think they sold.
