Evoking Curiosity through Music
I always want to share my favorite songs with friends so I made a kind of "ultimate playlist"
I feel as if I came to this earth to build bridges. Those bridges come in the form of relationships, knowledge, and curiosity. I plant seeds wherever I can.
This is an art that takes many forms, many of which I try my hand at. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't. It's not as if I can connect whoever I want. There needs to be a kind of natural affinity, and it's often impossible to imagine who will connect best to who or what.
All I can do is explore, driven by my own curiosity, and then share what I discover with others.
Music is a powerful tool for this. It's driven my curiosity to the point where I started studying a languages and changed the course of my life. It drove me to see myself as a creator and collaborator, rather than a consumer.
And so I get excited to share music with people. Rather than constantly spam people with links (at times when I'm not sure they are even in the mood), I thought I'd finally put together a playlist full of songs that I thought might spark curiosity in people.
It's an incredibly diverse playlist, not only in the cultures represented, but also in the style and mood of the songs (I counted 22 countries out of the current 52 songs: 🇲🇱 🇰🇷 🇮🇸 🇳🇴 🇯🇵 🇬🇭 🇺🇸 🇨🇳 🇮🇳 🇵🇰 🇿🇦 🇳🇬 🇲🇳 🇺🇬 🇭🇰 🇲🇽 🇨🇱 🇬🇧 🇷🇺 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 🇸🇪 🇧🇷 🇨🇩). The playlist order is still quite random, but I plan on organizing it into a better flow at some point, and possible to make a part 2.
The main theme of this playlist is: Music that channels nature, culture, or this specific moment in human history.
That's quite broad, I know, but I think if you listen through it, you will feel a few common threads weaving through them. I think every single one of them has the potential to evoke curiosity or pull someone towards something. Not each song will match everyone, but I'm certain you'll find something for you.

:-) I didn't realize you were talking about the YT video at first. Thanks man. I didn't really plan on making videos like that, I was just playing with the algorithm to see how it works and everyone seemed to like them. They are still 100% within the realm of content that feels real and important to me, so I decided to keep making them when time/energy allows for it.
I have a billion topics to talk about but trying to see which arise naturally in the moment when I feel like sharing something.
