The Top 3 Tunes!

Crazy how fast this year seems to be going, it's already the last Tuesday of the 2nd to the last month of the year.
Looking back at the year, it has really been good.

With one month remaining, I decided to go through my musical history of the year, listening to old tunes, forgotten musical loves and voices that had followed me to now.
While soaking and reminiscing in my favorites songs, I had a musical epiphany.

The Top 3....

That's it folks, my best 3 songs of this year.
These songs that really moved something in me, songs that touched my spirit and brought out emotions✨.

The Top Three of 2023🏆

Now to kickstart this award ceremony, I want to note that the year isn't over just yet. These songs are just the best three so far 😃
Hence there's still a chance that their positions could be usurped.

Although it's a slim chance...

3. When The Hospital was my Home ~ Powfu

Now this song is one that I actually heard in December of 2022 and it had been one of my most favorite tune ever since.
Powfu apparently got inspiration from this song from watching the movie 5 Feet Apart.
Using his fluent lyrics, he created a vivid story in our mind of a two friends who are about to say goodbye due to one of them having a terminal illness.
It is simply heart wrenching to listen to yet it's calming still.
I legit broke down in tears listening to this as it reminded me to when I was in the hospital too and how my relationships with most of my friends suffered through it😢.

2. Count Me Out ~ Kendrick Lamar

This is one song from the album of Mr Moral that legit just stuck with me.
I was enamored with everything about it, especially it's crazy first verse and lovely outro.
In this song, Kendrick brings about a formal talk to his regrets, addressing them as he should and leaving them behind to focus more on his blessings.💙

1. Dance Now ~ JID

Funny how someone who I legit just heard this month is part of my best musical voices of this year and his song is ranked number one nevertheless 😃.
To me "Dance Now" is simply revolutionary as far as rap hip-hop songs go.
JID using different styles, and mechanics rap about the duality of life.
This is a song that talks about the hustle in the streets of Atlanta and how people are doing whatever it takes to survive in the hood. Yet it's still a song that goes into the spiritual, speaking about redemption through faith and urging it's listeners to keep faith, don't lose hope and follow their dreams no matter what.
The song goes through different phases that I think it's best you listen to by yourself.

Then that's it for my entry 😃
Hope y'all love the tunes the way I do.

Gats tag my man @ablaze to make this #ttt entry valid✨

See y'all next week!!
