The Forever Story 📰

Now I remember my last #ttt entry where I talked about Trending Sounds. There was a particular song in that list, Surround Sound by a rapper JID.
JID is a rapper that I've known about and I haven't actually had the time or need to check his songs. Well when writing about that song, I was graced to listen to the album which it came from, and I am convinced that I have been willingly missing something rather beautiful.

The Forever Story 📰

Now JID is a rather multipurpose artist, as he can sing different styles and rap different styles of rap too.
Jcole saw this talent once and wasted no time to get him under his record company and from there he has been going off.

This album in particular is one that I've just not bee able to wrap my head around.
In this album, JID makes a compilation of songs that talks about his life in the hoods before getting the fame, then how his life has been with the fame till now.

Now for my #ttt entry today I'm going to bring the three songs in this album that touched me the most.

Kody Blu 31

In this track, JID uses a simple beat, some harmonics and the minimal amount of instruments to make a Hustler's anthem.
On here, he encourages people to swang on which is the same to hold on, keep your head up high and to keep on hustling.
He talks about how the people around him went through a lot and how they saw things that could easily break the morale, but they kept on hustling.

Bruddanem feat Lil Durk

In this song, JID and Durk talk about the strange relationship they have with their brothers. Talking about how they grew up looking to the elders and how the elder brothers always looked after the younger ones and how they would do anything for each other.
It's a really touching song that talks about the importance of brotherhood.

Sistanem

This song comes immediately after Bruddanem on the album and it talks about the close relationship between JID and his sister.
It's a beautifully crafted song that tells the story of their relationship chronologically from when they were kids till their current age now.
It really makes one cherish the familial bonds they have.

And that's it from me.
I'm quite happy that I was able to hear good tunes from this guy, hoping to check his other albums too.
This album is filled with a lot of good tunes still though, one of them is Dance Now, which passes a strong message but has a great fun beat.
Have to tag @ablaze to make this #ttt post complete 💯

Till Next Tuesday🔥
