Spring Tunes
Ahhhhπ, such a lovely day for some lovely tunes.
It's a Tuesday folks, second of March, for some people (including me) the first of Spring π·π
Of course in Nigeria we don't have 4 distinct seasons like some of my friends in the West, but I think Spring here can be symbolized with the starting of the after harmattan rains.π§οΈπ©οΈβοΈ
And Spring symbolizes changeπβ¨At least it does for this postπ

For those who may just be viewing for the first time, on every Tuesday, we honorable members of the music community dedicate three tunes to the Musical godππ₯πΆ
This noble weekly sacrifice was brought on by his prophet @ablaze and has been going for over a 100 weeks.
So for my entry today, I would deviate (change) from my regular rap-afro genre and pick tunes from places most folk who knows me on hive would never expect π.
Thus we blow π¬οΈπ
For The Dancing and Dreaming - Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson & Mary Jane Wells
A touching viking ditty for the loversπ
Written for a particular scene in How To Train Your Dragons, it's a song I fell in love with on just my first hearβ€οΈ
We Drum on π₯
Oye Como Va - Tito Puente
A great artist I was introduced to by @agmoore 's post here. Apparently he's the king of Latin Jazz and boy does he know his stuffππΆ.
You can just feel all the good vibes he brings to the stage, a rather nice change for jazz musicians as the percussionist is the lead instead of the iconic saxophone π·β¨.
A song I danced through even though I didn't know a single thing he sangππ
Thus we strum to a stop πΈ
Soldiers, Poets, Kings - Oh Hellos
Weird how this is a tune I just listened to today?
Another love on first hear π.
The lyrics and the tunes, everything gives you this serene feel.
So that's it from me todayπβ¨
Shout out to @ablaze our Irish musical prophet, @blanchy , @tengolotodo and other fluffing wonderful people that make this contest a success β¨πΆ

I watched the jig as I listened to the last song. A wonderful selection, not at all what I would have expected from you a few weeks ago. However, I have since learned that you love 'music' and are open to all kinds. Me too.
Thank you. I'm glad you like Tito Puente π
Thanks for the introduction to this great community.
The guy was jazz cool π
My ears are open to all kinds of music, i may forget some thoughπ , but the ones that stick STICK.
This community is honored to have you @agmoore π
These are three really fun songs! Oye Como Va is always a favourite, too. Great choices!
They are indeed fun π

How good is Tito Puente man!? Great find. He is clearly well on in the years, but still has that special something to get a crowd going, like James Brown did until the day that he died.. The flute solo kind reminds me of this scene from anchorman though!! Ha ha
The fact that he's just breaking glasses ππππ
The solo is kinda rad though π±
