Old School Tunes

I don't particularly come from a Musical family, but I do come from a family that love music.
My grandfather had this old radio that he used to play classical tunes for my mom, and apparently my grandmom was a big fan of Fela at the time, almost at the point of wanting to join his crew.
These are all stories my mom told me though so I guess it's second hand information and I doubt she has any reason to lie about it.

One thing I do know for sure is her love for music, after all when most kids were learning ABC's and Charlie Walter songs I was practically humming Michael Jackson😂😂.

Regardless for some reason, I had the idea a few hours yesterday night to honor the blasts from the past and this Tuesday morning I decided to give it a spin.
A spin back into the 1980's with these wonderful hits.

Old School Tunes

- Smooth Criminal ~ Michael Jackson

Surely we can't start this post without bringing the king of the 1980's and his killer song.
This is one of his many songs that has tested the strain of time, coming up time and time again unexpectedly in memes and least obscure places in the Internet.
Would have you moon walking, tipping your invisible hat and singing "Annie are you okay?"

- Just The Two Of Us ~ Bill Withers & Grover Washington Jr.

When you ask for a song that embodies that jazz like feeling this is that track.
From the vocals, tube, instruments, everything just makes you forget about your worries and go with the flow.
Then the lyrics itself, it's a song for just the two of us.

~ Man In The Mirror ~ Michael Jackson

I first remember this song clearly from the 2012 movie Joyful Noise. To be honest, not the song, but the feeling it gave me.
After all, it's not the moment we remember but the feelings of that moment that sticks.
Regardless this song from Michael is one I really relate with, the idea of how to make a change is by first changing yourself.

One has to say, back then in the 80's, the music industry was wonderful and just so rich, don't you agree @ablaze

So my Audience, which do y'all prefer?
