Motivation Tuesday
After falling sick since Sunday last week, I've been focusing all efforts on trying to get back on my feet and due to that, I've had to completely log off of everything hive and Internet related
Now I've gotten way better and I'm ready to bounce back but I've been lacking the normal drive I usually have to start punching my thoughts into my keyboard.
Recently, in a reply to my status on Whatsapp, a friend sent this...
...and after reading it, I couldn't agree more with just how true it was.
I'd become consistently lax. My body has gotten used to the idea of lazing around, watching movies, eating and sleeping.
Even now as I write this, I feel my mind dulling and my eyes itching to feast on the remaining seasons of Teen Wolf downloaded in my laptop.
This, because is a Tuesday is a #threetunetuesday post and I'm going to share three tunes that motivated me today...
Count Me Out ~ Kendrick Lamar
This isn't the first I've written about this tune nor its artist. This song has almost nothing to do with motivation, yet the fast paced intro verse always seems to get my blood pumping while it plays.
Part of his family rebirth themed album Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers, this tune, like most others highlights Kendrick's faults and his want to do better. His fear of being counted out of his family due to his past wrongs.
It's a rather thought provoking song.
Battles With Faith ~ Dax
I find myself getting more and more drawn to this Africa Canadian rapper, tunes I've already listened to before being replayed and nostalgia being renewed.
One of these tunes is the fast paced rap song.
Dax like most Nigerian artist's has always been bold about his stand on religion and he always tries to find a way to talk about it in his songs.
This song is all about it, where he uses rap to replay his battle against the devil.
XXX ~ Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar's album "Damn" is one that embodies the term negativity. The songs focus on specific aspects of negativity, we see Lust, Fear, Pride, etc.
These songs talk about his experience with these emotions.
The song XXX is a mixture of everything. From the opening verse were Kendrick advices a friend to retaliate violently when he called considering his family's death, to the closing verse whenever he talks about his woes with America.
It's a song that makes you think deeply at every line.
These are the three tunes which motivated me today to write, why it motivated me?
I can't really say.. but I've shared them here in the hopes they'll motivate you too...
Or rather leave you thinking deeply 😂😂

This is a very motivating post, truly consistency is very important to our growth, thankfully you're recuperating, welcome back.
Welcome back. Sometimes our consistency gets affected when we have a change in our routine. But it's good to hear you prioritized your health and spent time off the screen.
I also wonder why these tunes motivated you but the reasons wouldn't really matter, noh?😅
I wonder too tbh 😂😂😂
Allow yourself to be sick. Get better. I worried about you.

Still have a bit of a cough and my nose is still leaking...
But stamina wise, I'm way better 😂
