Love For Three Tunes Tuesday
A while back, I and a group of friends were wondering how far Nigerian music has dropped because of their aim for international standards.
At first we started with just Rema, who despite being renowned world wide, his songs seem to lack that emotional depth it had in his beginning albums.
I thought about it and truly Nigerian Afro beats music has changed, before I complained how we only talked about women and we haven't stopped that bad habit, we're just doing it less intelligently now.
I miss the year 2019, when our Afro Beat young generation were just coming up and we had fun love songs like these...
It's just been 5 years yet it feels so long ago. Surprisingly, Omah Lay is one person that has actually stayed consistent with his sound.
The sweet sounding afrohiphop that is good for rapping and singing and everything in between.
This song is fast beated, has witty lines (for those that understood them) and a catchy tune.
Everything to use and take that next step.
Fire boy was more gentle with his afrobeat approach though. A beautiful voice, good looks and lovely lyrics.
He was every Nigerian teen girl hearthrob and this single didn't go a day without being played in the year 2019 and it made other tracks jealous.
The acoustics, the beat, the tune and lyrics were everything. This was peak 2019!!!
If I were to call someone that has this vibes for me now it's Burna Boy with his diverse style that always leaves you guessing 😂
He has shown his ability to do all, from his normal hip-hop style, to the trap, rap, amapiano and now the 2019 slow love songs.
Although this song isn't the generic love for the female gender, it's one that I can rank in the 2019 Afro genre.
Simple beat, lovely tune and catchy meaningful lyrics, a lovely song and my best on this list.
It's #threetunestuesday and @ablaze is on the lookout for new tunes that'll get some emotions through.
