Alcohol Tunes

Its another Tuesday and despite another imminent strike from labourers in my country I feel quite alright due to what my playlist has been giving me.
Exactly what I told @nickydee in a precious comment, I was just listening to Deezer and getting lost in the vibe of the songs.
I've gotten quite a lot of themes, prolly enough to last till Christmas 😂
Yet today I'll go with one that would sound rather uncommon.
It's a toxic Tuesday and what's more toxic than alcohol?

So these are your.

Alcohol Tunes 🍷🍾🥂

Like the name implies, in these list of songs the focus is all on alcohol. What it does and what the artists take it for, what it signifies in their lives.

Dear Alcohol 🍷~ DAX

In this tune, Dax talks about how he uses alcohol to escape the feeling of loneliness he has. He knows how bad it is yet he keeps doing it.
This song is somewhat of a call for help as he concludes that he can't escape the drinking problem by himself.
It's a rather lovely song and we have no choice but to have a feeling of pity for him as he pours his heart out in a slow rap explaining the addiction.

U ~ Kendrick Lamar

As the sixth song on his album To Pimp A Butterfly, U has to be the song with the most emotional impact.
In this song, Kendrick Lamar drunkenly criticizes himself in the 3rd perspective.
With sounds of fallen glasses, gulping and slurring, it was a very chaotic track.
Kendrick goes to great lengths talking about himself, pointing out all the bad points and his secrets.
The rawness of the emotions accentuated with the clinking glasses made the track more enjoyable.

Once an Addict ~ J Cole

In this emotion filled song, J Cole raps about his mother and addiction.
She had a problem with smoke and alcohol, using them to deal with her pain from heartbreak.
J Cole laments, wishing he did more to help her deal with her pain instead of watching her spiral down the road of an addict.

And that's it from me today folks.
Just a random 3 songs reminder that alcohol is a no-no.

Fun at certain occasions, but never let it be a lifetime something.
Really f_cks your body and mind up✨

I'll have to tag my mate and Saturday beer enthusiast @ablaze to have a look at this nice tunes.

No shots fired 😂

See y'all next week 😀

Haw :(

It's so sad... addiction... listening to the Dax track. Fuckin' nightmare to be in the throes of it :( :( Hope he gets to a meeting and gets some support to change his life. It's so simple when you open yourself up to it and trust someone to guide you. Almost impossible to do this alone in the beginning.

Such a hectic drug. I can't believe it's legal.

The Kendrick one is full on, huh? Listened with headphones on. That's some creative stuff there. More art than music.

"Once an Addict" - imagine if we were all raised to accept that pain is a natural part of life? :| I mean... seriously. What are we even thinking chasing happy? That's the actual addiction. Happy, happy, happy.

Poor kid. People should need to get a license to have kids.

Yeah!

I'm all into freedom but fuck! 👀

People need to be healed and skilled up to parent first. Really! :(

Yep. Addiction is brutal!

Just say no to trying any mind altering substances at all. Far easier than trying to stop the cycle once it has been initiated :|
