Hello my friends! Hola mi amigos!
It's Hive Open Mic week 205. It has been a loong while and I have sorely missed the camaraderie of the community! I am so glad to be here again. A lot has happened in a few months and I hope I'll be able to share some in coming entries.
The theme for the week states "Musical Idol" by @wealthwess. This theme brings one person to mind: Michael Jackson. Though I wouldn't call him my idol but, Michael Jackson was like my childhood fantasy.

First of all, I want to take the credits of being the first person to ever feature in a music video with my friend @monioluwa 😅. It was a really cool experience. We were going to do a song by the legendary Queen (you can guess which), but couldn't due to time constraints and limitations towards preparation.
Westlife could be called a household name as many of us grew up listening to their songs and these songs are still and always will be relevant, regardless of the generation and, Flying Without Wings is one that we both love.

I love hearing when two or more people come together. You have brought a moving and wonderful performance. I congratulate you both for such a beautiful musical work.
How nice to meet you after a while and with an accompanist to sing with, that was great my dear Sekani. Talking about musical idols is because they inspire us a lot to what we do, I understand why you would say in the first instance Michael Jackson, literally, he changed the world of music and was a pioneer in many things with his art and those who grew up with his music lived one of the best times of it.
When I read Queen, I was for a moment enchanted, I hope you can do that duet for that song another time and share it with us in Hive. However, Wetslife is not far behind, this group gave us great romantic ballads and were one of the key pillars in the world of boybands along with the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Five, among others.
