Three Tune Tuesday - The Graystones Covers
Hello, music lovers! 🎵
On #threetunestuesday, I reflect on the music I listened to growing up and the music I had access to. But the selection for a #ttt post is always a matter of inspiration.
I don't even know this band, The Graystones.
I first came across them yesterday on X, where someone posted a video and wrote that there is hope for our culture. And I was, of course, intrigued.
It was a surprise. The Greystones are a children's band that plays covers of well-known songs, also known as evergreens, which I know and have listened to in the past.
For those of you who are not (yet) familiar with #threetunetuesday or #ttt - these are tags you need to set when you post.
It's a music initiative started by @ablaze, and with his words, the jist is as follows:
Every Tuesday, I'm going to share 3 songs that I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the reward.
As I mentioned before, it's a children's group; they are all very young, and the arrangements are of a very high standard. Likely, their parents are also behind the project - I can guess that because the songs are quite old, their parents listened to them :)
And, judging by the high number of views for the individual songs, they may already be on the radar of some major labels.
I won't go into details and predictions about what's next, but if they were to enter the Vibes Web3 Music Competition, they'd sweep all the previous artists. Of course, this is just my opinion.
Here are a few songs I liked and are also suitable for this summer heat.
The Graystones - Smooth Operator
We all know Sade, who has been delighting us with her velvet voice for a long time. Smooth Operator was her first hit, in 1984.
The Graystones - The Logical Song
The Logical Song is a song by Supertramp from the 1979 album Breakfast in America.
The Graystones - Movin' Out
Movin' Out is a cover of Billy Joel's 1977 hit from the album The Stranger.
That's all for today. Thank you for your attention, and enjoy summer!
This is my 76th post for #threetunetuesday, which @ablaze started.
I hope what I'm sharing is enjoyable for others, too, because then it makes sense.

Nice tunes! Love seeing these kids rocking it out! !BBH
When it comes to musical talent, there's nothing to criticise here. Therefore, I wonder why pedestrians simply walk by, as if the special offer at SPAR were more interesting. The girls and boys should nevertheless venture into lyrics that relate to their lives and their generation. Supertramp was never at the top of my list. Nevertheless, I felt it was logical to give it another try today.😉
